Falcon Computing was co-founded in 2014 by Dr. Jason Cong to address the world’s insatiable appetite for increased performance through unique customized computing solutions. Dr Cong, the Director of the Center for Domain-Specific Computing (CDSC) and former Chairman of the UCLA computer science department, is a global thought leader in high performance energy-efficient computing. Leveraging a 5-year, $10M research project supported by the NSF ‘Expeditions in Computing’ program directed by Dr. Cong at UCLA, Falcon has developed novel compiler and runtime management tools that can generate highly optimized and accelerated computing solutions on customizable hardwares for a wide range of big-data applications. The company completed Series A funding in early 2015, led by Baidu and a group of seasoned strategic investors and venture partners, and is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA with offices in Silicon Valley and Beijing, China.
